staff were very polite and friendly, we had a daughter playing in a netball competition at loughborough uni and we couldnt have been any closer.
in the room the tea and coffee tray was dirty ! with tea stains and spilt sugar under the paper doily and the milk was out of date and had gone off. the pillows could do with changing aswell as ours were very flat.
Large room with large comfortable double bed. Buffet Breakfast very good.
Very bland decor, remote location to town
It was excellent value for money compared with very similar hotels I have stayed in.
The hotel is bright, modern and cheerful and is within easy reach of university and town
Used as an overnight stop to break a journey, very comfortable and welcoming, good location close to the M1.
The hotel was very clean, confortable and convenient for the purpose of my travel.
Good outlook and great facilities. Windows that opened fully for fresh air and cool evening breeze.
Close to motorway for travel to and from hotel. Very modern and clean as refurbishment was taking place and colour schemes/designs were good.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very nice, although there was a delay in my being able to check-in.
Front of the hotel and entrance area looks 'tired' and a little shabby - needs a facelift.
Did not know it was in the process of being refurbished so the car park etc looked very run down, room smelt of paint and some areas where very tatty, new refurbished parts were good, and you can see it was going to be pleasant once it was completed but would have expected to have known prior to booking and to be offered a discount because of this. As room had just been refurbished had to ask for iron, hairdryer, no bin in main bedroom, etc but as staff were very friendly and helpful the lack of items in the bedroom was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the staff.
The staff were very freindly and helpful, and the bed was very comfy
Creaky corridors, and the extraction fan the the bathroom failed to work
Check out! Only stayed here for a night's sleep before attending son's graduation at the university. Otherwise, would not have touched it with a barge pole. Wasn't expecting too much at the price in fairness and it may improve substantially in the coming months due to refurb.
One ignorant member of staff, ripped net curtain at the window, broken toilet seat ........
The hotel is very close to motorway exit and well placed to visit Loughborough University. It has loads of parking but the hotel is desperate for refurbishment but room prices do not reflect this, I did get a 10 % discount on my room due to it's condition. Food served at breakfast was simply ghastly and unedible. I did take a look at the show room the hotel have prepared so you can get an idea of how up to date and comfortable it will make the hotel, however they need to improve the standard of breakfast now! I would not recommend you stay at this hotel.
The staff were friendly, the food at Breakfast was fresh and cooked nicely.Plenty of car parking.
The Double bed was rather small and the mattress was not very comfortable you could feel the springs in the mattress. The room smelt as if there had been a smoker in the room before us so we left both windows wide open to freshen the room up.The windows in the restaurant need a clean. On booking form still had Compass Hotel so rather confusing changed name to Link so went past it to begin with.
Found the room to be very clean and spacious one of the best we have stayed in for this. The breakfast was very good with a nice relaxed atmosphere in the dinning area and very friendly helpful staff.
check in staff seamed to be unsure of on line booking payment procedure and there was an error on checking out, where the previous nights payment had been recorded against a different room.
